2. still working on thesis - but have a defense date
3. accepted to Ph.D. program
4. family all seems to be good - nana's 86th bday at the end of the month
5. boys suck
6. want to buy my sister a cat for christmas
7. as for pending tattoo - one of a tulip and rainbow would represent my parents well.

yah I"ve been thinking of how to make a design of a tulip and a rainbow together - so far it looks stupid -
how about a rainbow coloured tulip?
